FAQ

Some frequently asked questions are:
Q. Will you make National versions of Security SetUp (E.g.. Danish, Spanish, German...)
A. No, Security SetUp will ONLY be released in English (supporting national versions is IMPOSSIBLE with our
limited staff).

Q. Is there a 'manual' for Security SetUp?

A. No, Security SetUp is VERY easy to use hence there is really no need for a manual, if you are insecure about a function, click on the questionmark at the upper right corner and then on the function you are insecure about, you will then be presented with a quick description on that function (you can also use the F1 key).

Q. Could you include Encryption or Password control for Windows / Folders.
A. No, this falls way out of the scope for Security SetUp. Security SetUp is a 'settings security manager / shell
' only.

Q. Could you make Security SetUp protect my files so they cant be deleted?
A. No, this is again out of the scope for Security SetUp.

Q. I am having problems with the 'Files allowed'?
A. This is very common, the problem is that even if you add all the you need to allow these files might 'launch' other programs without your knowledge!  You might also experience problems with 'launching' HTML fileslocated on local drives.  There is no 'solution' to this, the same problem exist if you used Microsofts own poledit.exe, we cant solve this problem as the problem lies within Windows, our advice is for you to try adding as many .exe files as you possibly can think of (this might solve the problem).

Common for the questions above is that they are fair enough, however it would require a completly different kind of program to support this kind of features.  In other words it would be far to complex to include this kind of features. There are several excellent products on the market that support file protection and encryption thus we would be reinventing the wheel, and there is really no need to do that.
